Share the Warmth receives a helping hand from the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation employees

Share the Warmth was visited yesterday by the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation's 40 employees, who lived one typical day at the Centre by participating in the different programs offered by the Pointe-Saint-Charles organization.

The day was very productive for all, as the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation employees:

- prepared and distributed 75 boxes of food
- sorted used clothes and reorganized the Second Hand Shop
- prepared 200 sanwichs and 400 muffins for disadvantaged school children in the South-West neighbourhoods
- cooked 350 pots of jam which are sold by Share the Warmth to raise funds
- prepared arts and crafts material for the youth workshops
- cleaned all public areas and painted outside doors.

The J. Armand Bombardier Foundation employees wanted to leave a trace at Share the Warmth. So in addition to participating in everyday activities, they set up to renovate two music rooms. They painted, decorated and furnished the two rooms in order to offer a special space the youth who frequents the Centre.

This activity took place as part of the 3rd Social Action Day organized by the employees of the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation.

"Social Action Day is a way to involve all employees in the philanthropic activities of the Foundation and to incite them to get engaged in the community. It also favours team spirit and mutual help”, explains Lyne Lavoie, Executive Director the the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation.

"I do not have enough words to express our thanks to the organization committee and to the Foundation. Not only a lot of work was accomplished yesterday, but creativity, energy and team spirit were there for everyone to see. Thank you!”, expressed Fiona Crossling, Assistant Director of Share the Warmth.
